Prison Bus Best Bus: Cowboy vs Dragon vs Pure Speed Game Passes

Last updated:

Which Prison Bus bus pass is worth it? Cowboy, Dragon and Pure Speed all promise permanent, cross-game ownership — compare their prices, the one advertised difference and the free Hardcore skin route.

The short answer

Quick answer

All three bus game passes in Prison Bus promise the same two things on their store pages: the bus is 'yours for good' (permanent ownership) and you can 'Drive it in every game'. They differ in price, theme and exactly one advertised trait — Pure Speed is the only pass whose own description claims a performance edge. None of the three pass descriptions lists stats to compare, so the documented choice is price and theme — or skipping Robux for the free cosmetic route; the descriptions do not say whether the buses differ in handling, capacity or durability.

  • Cowboy Prison Bus — R$419: the cheapest documented bus pass, ownership perks only.
  • Dragon Prison Bus — R$525: mid-priced, ownership perks only, no performance trait advertised.
  • Pure Speed Bus — R$699: same ownership perks plus the seller's own 'fastest bus on the road' claim.
  • Prefer not to pay? Win the game to unlock Hardcore mode, then win a Hardcore run for the free exclusive Armoured Bus skin.

Prices are Robux (R$) as listed in October 2026.

What the passes share — and what the listings leave out

Each bus is sold as a Roblox game pass for Prison Bus, and the three descriptions follow the same one-line template: the bus is 'yours for good' — permanent ownership rather than a rental or trial — and you can 'Drive it in every game'. What the three descriptions do not do is list stats: none mentions a seat count, health figure or measured top speed. That makes the table above the entire documented comparison. If the 'fastest bus on the road' line is what draws you to Pure Speed, it helps to know that it is the seller's own store wording rather than an independently tested measurement, while Cowboy and Dragon simply advertise no performance trait at all.

Decision guide

Choose for your situation

You want the cheapest bus pass with the same core perks

Cowboy Prison Bus at R$419. Its description advertises the same permanent ownership and cross-game driving as the more expensive passes.

Speed is the trait you are paying for

Pure Speed Bus at R$699. It is the only pass that advertises a performance trait, but that claim is the store's own wording rather than a tested figure.

You want a middle price and the Dragon theme

Dragon Prison Bus at R$525 — R$106 above Cowboy and R$174 below Pure Speed. Its description, like Cowboy's, promises only the ownership perks.

You would rather not spend Robux on a bus at all

Play for the free cosmetic instead: win the game once to unlock Hardcore mode, then win a Hardcore run to claim the exclusive Armoured Bus skin.

Because the shared perks are identical, the decision mostly comes down to budget. Pure Speed costs R$280 more than Cowboy, and the only documented justification for that gap is the speed claim in its own description — see the Pure Speed Bus page for more on that pass. If the claim does not sway you, the cheaper passes deliver everything else the listings promise.

The free route: the Armoured Bus skin

Paid passes are not the only way to change how your bus looks. Update 1 added Hardcore mode, which is available only to players who have already won the game — Hardcore runs come with harder enemies and no free revives. The reward for winning there is a free exclusive bus skin: the new Armoured Bus skin. That makes the documented free path two wins long: first win a normal game to unlock Hardcore, then win in Hardcore to claim the skin. It is a cosmetic skin rather than one of the three purchasable buses, so it does not replace a pass, but if you mainly want a distinctive bus without spending Robux, this is the route the game itself advertises. The how to win guide covers the first step, and the Hardcore mode and Armoured Bus skin pages fill in the rest.

Where a bus pass sits in the wider store

The three bus passes are part of a six-pass store that ran R$199–899 as tracked in October 2026. Radio at R$199 and Double HP at R$399 are cheaper non-bus options in the same store, while Kingpin Class at R$899 tops the range — so a bus pass is a mid-range purchase in this game rather than its most expensive upgrade. Counts and prices can change with updates, so treat these figures as an October 2026 snapshot and check the in-game store before buying; the updates page tracks what has changed.
